From Grenada, the majestic 92 old tall ship, the S/V Mandalay will sail to St. Lucia and return December 7-20th, 2014. The islands visited will look something like this: Grenada, Carriacou (Anse La Roche, Hillsborough, Sandy Island), Union Island (Clifton, Chatham Bay, Happy Island), Palm Island, Mayreau (Saline Bay, Salt Whistle Bay), Tobago Cays (Petit Bateau, Baradal), Bequia, Canouan, St. Vincent (Young Island), St. Lucia (Castries, Rodney Bay, Anse chastenet-Pitons, Marigot Bay).
Tall Ship Cruise
You will be summoned to the line. “Volunteers to the line.” It takes muscle to pull the ropes and raise the sails. No mechanical wenches on this lady. Once the sails are up, most of the time the captain will cut the engines. Under sails she cuts though the calm waters like a hot knife through butter. You can take you turn at the helm ever so slightly moving the wheel to keep on course. The breeze blows trough your hair and you just chill.
The Tall Ship Mandalay
The 29 cabin Mandalay will be your home for the voyage. Newly renovated cabins all with private facilities, three meals a day plus swizzle time and late night snacks.
